Benefit Payments For Retirees

This page is for associate and retiree use only and not for making payments on your GEICO auto, cycle, or other policy. To make a payment on a GEICO auto, cycle, or other policy, please visit our make a payment page.

Below are instructions for Retirees. Associates who are either actively employed, on unpaid Leave of Absence (LOA), Extended LOA, or Long Term Disability (LTD) should visit our section on making a PayPal payment.

Paying Your Bill

Retirees must pay their benefit premiums through HealthEquity|WageWorks.

Online

To pay via check online, log into https://mybenefits.wageworks.com/ and access the Employee/Participant site. You will use your Social Security number or Account number and birth date to log in as a "First Time User."

By Mail

All checks should be made payable to WageWorks and mailed to:

WageWorks, Inc.
P.O. Box 660212
Dallas, TX 75266-0212

WageWorks offers:

  • Phone and internet access to payment status information 24 hours a day
  • Ability to email WageWorks questions, communicate online, or speak with a representative between 8:00 AM and 8:00 PM (ET)
  • Ability to make premium payments online or enroll in Direct Debit (ACH) from a checking or savings account

Benefits Billing Statement

As a courtesy, WageWorks will mail a billing statement to you each month for the next month's premium. It is your responsibility to pay your premiums on a timely basis even if you do not receive a billing statement; the lack of a billing statement does not negate your responsibility to pay your outstanding benefits billing balance.

Additional Information

  • You must pay the full premium each month to prevent cancellation of your insurance coverages. Partial payments will be accepted and applied to any outstanding premium; however, a partial payment will not prevent your insurance coverages from being cancelled for non-payment.

Your premium payment is due on the first day of the applicable month. If the total amount is not paid in full within 30 days or your payment envelope is not postmarked by the 30th day, all of your insurance coverages (medical, dental, and vision) will be cancelled.

  • If you are a retiree, all premiums are billed by WageWorks. You must pay all of your WageWorks premiums to avoid cancellation of all insurance coverages (medical, dental, and vision).

Insurance coverages for retirees that are cancelled for non-payment of premium will not be reinstated because failure to pay your premiums is an election to waive coverage, which is irrevocable.

  • The PayPal payment option described in the Active, Unpaid and Extended LOA, and LTD page is not available for associates who pay their premiums to WageWorks. Paying your premium through PayPal will not prevent the cancellation of your insurances for non-payment. The PayPal and WageWorks payment options are administered by different vendors; therefore, your premiums will not be transferred from one vendor to another.

If you erroneously make your premium payment through PayPal, you must also submit a payment to WageWorks to prevent the cancellation of your insurance coverages for non-payment. Your payment to PayPal will be refunded to you after approximately 30 days to allow for monthly settlement of the PayPal account
